Hello my fellow little munchkins. How are you all doing? I am doing well. I have started this new form of interviews which is where I interview fellow book lovers and allow for all the bookish love to be spread throughout not only this blog but also the web.
I am just going to get into and I hope you all really like it 🙂

What made you want to start your book blog?
I’m not really sure to be honest. I think I really enjoyed the idea of Booktube but not the idea of recording myself in my home, so I opted for a blog instead and I’m so glad I did. It was a pretty in the moment decision, I decided one moment and the next day I was creating a blog and reviewing my favourite books!
What was the process of setting it up like?
I created my blog a long time ago and without any real research or thought. I probably used the first layout they had and just slapped my blog name on it. My blog has (thankfully) improved by a lot over the years, though I still think there’s always room for improvement!
What is one word that summarizes your blog?
Developing. I think this explains my blog pretty well because I’m always trying to improve it and make it better. I’m constantly trying to create more helpful and (hopefully) fun posts that I enjoy and you guys will find interesting or relate to.
Is there a quote from a book review you have done that something that summarizes your review style?
I don’t really have a quote to describe my review but my style is typically High points, Low points, a few quotes & my overall feelings on the book as well as whether I will continue with author’s other books. I have pretty much always done them this way but I think my reviews have definitely improved this year.
How do you rate your book reviews?
I give them a 4 out of 5. I have been really working on my reviews lately, trying to make them better and more coherent for you guys. I had noticed that I wasn’t writing them because I wasn’t enjoying how they turned out. I still think there’s room for improvement, but I’m happy with them at the moment!
What is your favorite book?
I have no idea! I don’t really have a number 1 favourite but my top 3 would be Lost Boy by Christina Henry, Hunting Prince Dracula by Kerri Maniscalco & HP & The Chamber of Secrets by J K Rowling.
If you could meet a character for a day who would it be, why and what would you do?
I always have the same answer for these types of questions – I would meet Noah Czerny and we would just chill and be out anxious selves. He seems like a pretty nice guy who doesn’t expect too much from people and just likes to be around them and that’s basically me so I feel like we would be able to sit and chill and maybe read a book or something.
Do you have a color palette for your blog?
Not really – I mean my background is white so that’s probably the main colour. Though I do include pink, blue and purple in my posts quite often and I find those colours really comforting so let’s go with those!
What do you think is a unique feature of your blog compared to others?
I feel like I’m a pretty standard book blogger – but I do also write movie and tv reviews occasionally! I really enjoy writing about movies, I mean, I’m literally going to be a film major, and I do plan on incorporating my love of film more into my blog next year.
What is your favorite blog post that you have done and can you include the link?
What is your blog logo and why is it that?
My “logo” is pretty much just my blog name in a black and white wreath – I don’t really use it on my blog because I usually just a selfie, but I was using my logo for a while this year because I wanted to have some kind of a logo.
Is there any information that you think is important about you and your blog that others should know?
Hi, I’m Ellyn and I really love recommending things! I love movies, tv, books and comics and if you visit my blog you’re guaranteed to find recommendations for all of these!
That is the end of the first of many blog posts like this to come!
